A one carat pear set on its side, on a band that curls past it in a single thin line. The whole ring is about the width of a pencil line of gold and one bright stone — it is the most delicate piece in the collection.

The design

The 1ct pear lies east-west, around 8.5 x 5.5mm, point toward the edge of the finger and tucked into a claw where the shank passes. The band is fine and swirls under and around the stone rather than meeting it squarely, so the setting looks drawn rather than built. At this scale the pear's asymmetry does the work — the ring is not symmetrical from any angle, which is what stops it reading as a plain solitaire.

Is the point protected?
It sits inside a claw and against the shank, which is the practical minimum for a pear. If maximum protection matters to you, look at the bezel and collar settings in this collection instead.

Is this ring too delicate for everyday wear?
It is the finest band here. It will wear well with normal care, but if you work with your hands daily, the heavier wrap settings will hold up better.

Why east-west rather than point up?
A 1ct pear set point-up can look narrow. Turned sideways it spreads across the finger and reads wider than its carat weight suggests.

Does it stack?
Yes, beautifully — the slim band suits a stack of two or three fine rings. Contoured bands are not required.

Is the stone certified?
